Agreement to Terms
By using Afterlight, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
Afterlight is a local-first concert diary app that helps you log, track, and remember live music experiences. Features include concert logging, setlist lookup, ticket/poster scanning, statistics, sharing, and optional Friends profiles.
Friends Accounts
- No account is required to use the diary, scanner, stats, or export features
- Friends is optional and uses a claimed username plus a device-held secret
- You are responsible for activity from your username
- You may delete your Friends account in-app from Profile at any time
Content Ownership
- Your concert logs, reflections, and uploads remain yours
- We do not claim ownership of your content
- If you join Friends, you grant us license to store and display non-private mirrored entries only to provide Friends, web profiles, reporting, and blocking
- Setlist data is sourced from Setlist.fm and remains their property
Acceptable Use β Zero Tolerance
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Afterlight. You agree not to:
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable
- Abuse, harass, or impersonate other users
- Attempt to reverse engineer the app or abuse the service or its APIs
Shared content (reflections, ratings, usernames) is filtered for objectionable material. Every user can flag content and block users β blocking removes that user's content from your feed instantly and notifies us. We review reports and act within 24 hours, removing offending content and ejecting users who posted it.
Third-Party Services
The app integrates with third-party services (Setlist.fm, Spotify, OpenAI). Use of these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for third-party service availability.
Limitation of Liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Inaccurate setlist information
- Actions taken based on app content
- Any indirect or consequential damages
Termination
We may terminate access to Friends for violation of these terms. Your local diary remains yours unless you delete entries or remove the app from your device.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
